TL;DR: Jacob’s gonna be a Guest of Honor at P-Con this September, along with David Weber, Sharon Rice-Weber, Daryl Mayfield, Cedar Sanderson, Wally Waltner, and Charles E. Gannon!

This year’s a low con year for us as we focus on writing projects, but we’ve got one more coming up in September—and it’s extra exciting! 😁

See, Jacob’s one of the Guests of Honor at P-Con in Fort Worth, TX! 😄 I had an absolute blast as last year’s Literary Guest of Honor and am totally pumped that Jacob gets to join in on the fun.

(I suspect Artist Guest of Honor Cedar Sanderson took some inspiration from Jacob for the above convention art, but even if she didn’t, that’s my headcanon now. 😉)

But that’s not the only thing that’s cool about this year’s P-Con. Its leading Guest of Honor is David Weber himself, along with Sharon-Rice Weber! Plus, if you’ve listened to any of our audiobooks under our Edie Skye pen name, you’ll recognize the name Daryl Mayfield—and he’s also a special narrator guest! 😃

Basically, if you’ve enjoyed any of our stuff under any pen name or collaboration, P-Con’s the best place to be this year.

Rounding out the guest list is Wally Waltner as Wafflemaster and Charles E. Gannon as Science Wrangler!

Tickets are already available and the hotel is small, so if you want to stay on site, it’s better to reserve sooner rather than later.

A P-Con Update! (Sadly, Jacob had to drop out. 😔 H.P’s still going, though! 😃)

Hey, y’all. H.P. here.

Jacob was excited to be one of the Guests of Honor at P-Con 2024 – so it’s with heavy regret that he has to drop out this year. 😔

The TL;DR of why is:

Jacob suffers from chronic nerve pain. A procedure back in June was supposed to alleviate the pain, but didn’t … and long story short, we’ve spent the entire summer just *waiting* for other potential solutions to be approved.

He’s found some minor ways to make it day to day, but ultimately his nerve pain’s so bad right now that he can barely sit through his drive to work – which makes con-level activity impossible.

Thanks for understanding, and he hopes to be able to see y’all at a future P-Con.

However, I’m still coming, and I’ll be bringing ~ extra hijinks ~ with me to compensate for Jacob’s absence. (And y’all know how many hijinks I have on me already. It’s gonna be wild. 😁)

One such compensation is this fun bit of nonsense – i.e. a last-minute ✨ P-Con Exclusive ✨ bookplate hand-drawn by me. (So fancy!) The finals will all be signed by Jacob and available for the grabbing at our book table.

We’re going to be Guests of Honor at P-Con!

Hey, y’all! 😃 If you follow us on social media, you’ve already heard, but if not:

Jacob and I are set to be Guests of Honor at P-Con in Fort Worth, TX September 20th-22nd!

The con was a bit delayed in getting its updates off the ground due to staff health issues and whatnot, but relevant information is starting to come in.

Namely, that it’ll be held at the Holiday Inn DFW Airport South, and the room block is now open! 😄

P-Con’s an itty-bitty new con – and small cons are my favorite because they allow me time to actually hang out with readers rather than spend all my time rushing from panel to panel.

Most importantly, though, it’ll be the furthest west we’ve gone thus far. 😮 (Usually we stick close to home for East Coast cons.)

That said, if you’re on the western side of the US, it’s a perfect chance to meet us in person! 😄 I look forward to hanging out with as many of you as I can. 😊
